Day 3 – Objects in mirror

Jonathan Fean

Day 3
3 September 2010
This might be a stretch in sticking with0 the ‘automobile/vehicle’ theme for the week, but here is a selfy taken in the side view mirror of the Commander. One thing is for sure though, my lens needs a good cleaning. Time to break out the micro-fiber.

Day 2 – …and Chief

Jeep Commander

Day 2
2 September 2010
Day number 2 of our ‘automobile/vehicle’ theme brings us back to the Commander. I absolutely love this vehicle…even more of late as I’ve been getting her all dolled up for our big road trip up to Notre Dame this Saturday for the Pursuck…eh, I mean Purdue game.

Day 1 – Jeep, it’s how we roll

Jeep wheel

Day 1
1 September 2010
…and we’re off! Today, along with bh88keys and ashwinrao1, I am embarking on Project 50, which for those who don’t know is 50 pictures for 50 days, taken with a 50mm lens.

So, of course this picture is a shot of the wheel on my Commander and I guess Jeep has been on my mind of late as we recently bought my wife a nice, new 2010 Liberty. That’s right, we’re a two Jeep family.

Training | Week 8 – Indianapolis Monumental Marathon

The weekly miles are continuing to climb and with it comes the normal bumps and bruises of training.  In a weird, demented way, I kind of like the muscle soreness that greets me every morning.  It’s not the pain of an injury, but rather the reminder that I’m in training and building towards my ultimate goal of the Monumental Marathon.

As with every week, I included two speed workouts, but this week one of the workouts was a 5K race.  I’ll preface by saying that 5Ks are not my distance of choice as I feel like it takes me a good 3-5 miles to get my old bag of bones moving.  But overall, I was happy with the race.  I could have definitely run a smarter race, but I ended up 6th overall and 1st in my division.   So now we’ll see what week 9 has in store for me.

HIGHLIGHTS: Longest run: 14 miles | Fastest mile: 6:18 | Total miles: 50 | Miles to date: 330.2

…and it’s on to week 9.
